Boat services from Alappuzha Boat Station to Nedumudi (Chennamkary Kizhakkekara Pally Jetty) are available at the following times:
6:40 am, 7:30 am, 8:30 am, 10:00 am, 10:15 am, 12:30 pm, 1:00 pm, 3:45 pm, 5:40 pm, 6:30 pm, and 7:40 pm.
From the jetty, it’s just 100 meters to the property.

How to Reach by Road:

I stayed at Tulsi Kayal Retreat for 2 nights in December 2024 with my family (4 adults + 3 kids). Though there are plenty of resorts around in Alleppe... I stayed at Tulsi Kayal Retreat for 2 nights in December 2024 with my family (4 adults + 3 kids). Though there are plenty of resorts around in Alleppey, this place is unique interms of the scenic view and budget stay. The food is prepared in this house stay, it's really tasty and hygiene. Do plan for atleast a day to stay at this resort, though there are not much activities here, you can enjoy gazing at the house boats and motorboats that crosses this resort. Note: There is no direct access to roads in this resort, you'll have to park your cars in the river banks (or) paid parking area and reach this resort in a motor boat. . . If you're coming in bike, you can carry your bike in the motor boat to cross the river. It's very usual that people take their bikes across this water everyday, I myself had seen more than 50+ bikes crossing in a day. The boats are like bikes and cars for them. . . There are lot to explore in this country, you may have to go to the roads very often. One suggestion for the resort is to own a small boat for the guests for transit, though the resort arranges a paid outsider boat. Regarding the food options, you can order in Swiggy and Zomato, but it doesn't get delivered at your doors. The food reaches the other shore and you can get it with the help of the transit boat, inform the boat person beforehand.Being an outsider, I'm very impressed by the lifestyle of these people and its very different than usual, to experience.

Trust me nobody can give this place less than 5 stars . It’s all about the location and not grandeur. A pale polite place with four rooms with attache... A pale polite place with four rooms with attached toilet and two employees who are so good and friendly. We as friends 5 of them went with curiosity came up with joy and smile in our faces and heartfelt happiness. Nothing to worry abt security and travel it’s all available over there . The two hour boat ride and evening tea with the sunset and afternoon rain , what else you would ask for a trip . We all enjoyed the place and food that was served there , not much of a choice but you will not ask diff that’s how it is. We went to few locations but out of two churches and one temples which is from 1800s , we were in awe . This place as backwaters has its glow even today and will have forever , that’s why kerela is Gods own country . Just go there and enjoy specially Tulsi kayal which I recommend pretty hard and no regrets for sure . Enjoy guys .
